Bright gold leaves which change to medium green by mid summer. Heavily veined, rippled edges, heavy substance. Pale lavender flowers on 40" scapes.
Here is the newest addition to the late emerging series of H. montana from the colder regions of Japan. This selection from Mark Zilis has brilliant solid gold leaves, eventually making a 3' wide clump. The clumps are topped with 4' stalks of near white flowers in early summer...Splendid!

Bright gold leaves have a graceful flow to them. Slow growing, but a much stronger grower than 'Emma Foster'. Soft lavender flowers. |
