Here is the newest addition to the late emerging series of H. montana from the colder regions of Japan. This selection from Mark Zilis has brilliant solid gold leaves, eventually making a 3' wide clump. The clumps are topped with 4' stalks of near white flowers in early summer...Splendid!
All gold H. montana, nice tall scapes w/white flowers, slow grower.
Bright gold leaves have a graceful flow to them. Slow growing, but a much stronger grower than 'Emma Foster'. Soft lavender flowers.
