Info | Compact clump of chartreuse foliage that brightens to sunny yellow later. Large flowers on tall straight scapes, good growth rate. Developed at In The Country Garden & Gifts, this is the first of their own introductions. 'Country Sun Drop' was actually discovered as a chance seedling in our display garden. Emerging in the spring, the rounded, heart-shaped leaves are chartreuse, but quickly brighten to sunny-yellow. Even in bright light, the foliage holds up well all summer, and develops light dimpling and a bit of rippling along the margins at maturity. A vigorous grower that forms a compact mound about 12" tall and 24" across. Tall, straight scapes hold large, fertile, purple flowers in mid-summer. |
