| Info | Introduced in 2005, this is a tetraploid form of 'Peedee Gold Flash' with bright yellow leaves margined in green, beautiful red petioles. More vigorous than 'Peedee Gold Flash', with more substance. This new sport, a tetraploid form of H. 'Peedee Gold Flash', comes from Virginia's Mobjack Nursery...home of Hosta 'Patriot'. The small, 21" wide x 12" tall clump is composed of medium-green leaves with a very wide, golden center that changes to parchment as it matures. One of the neat effects is to constantly have both color leaf centers on the plant simultaneously. The red-tinted leaf petiole adds another dimension of interest to this unique hosta. The clump is topped with 2' tall spikes of dark lavender flowers in midsummer. |
