Info | First Look 2009 gift plant. It is similar in size (about 40" wide) and color (intense blue) to the popular 'Halcyon', but with a pointier, wavier leaf that gives the plant that more oomph. If you're wondering about the name, aventurine is derived from the Italian for "luck". It is a form of quartz, often blue-green, with shimmery metallic inclusions that make it glitter like gold.
