Info | =plantaginea 'Ming Treasure'. 18" tall. Part Sun to Light Shade. This is one of the most exciting new hostas that we've grown in a long time... a chartreuse edged H. plantaginea that really grows. If you like H. plantaginea, then you will love H. 'Ming Treasure'. The nice wide chartreuse margin intensifies in color against the light green background as the season progresses. In August, the clump is topped with 2' stalks ending in 8" long pure white fragrant flowers... it's got it all! A new variegated sport of plantaginea from Mark Zillis. The bright, glossy green leaves have a chartreuse margin. The contrast between the leaf and the variegation is rather subtle. Like the species, the flowers are white, very large and fragrant. Shiny green, cream-gold edge. |
